Filming With Jeremy Wade & Today Show

Recently we had the opportunity to film a segment with Jeremy Wade on the Today Show.  For those of you who aren't sure who Jeremy Wade is, well he's the host of the popular television show River Monsters on Discovery Channel and Animal Planet.  Because his show has gathered so much attention NBC and The Today Show wanted to do an interview with him doing what he's famous for, Fishing.  So Captain Rich Smith took the whole crew of NBC and River Monsters in the backcountry waters of the Everglades and Florida Keys for a great day of fishing.

We started our day of fishing together in Islamorada which is one of the upper islands of the Florida Keys.  We ventured into the backcountry just west of Islamorada into the boundaries of Everglades National Park.  This area is full of wildlife such as alligators, crocodiles, manatees, dolphins, exotic birds, and tons fo great fishing.  So good we were able to take even the rookie fisher-gal Janice from NBC and get her hooked up to a wide range of fish which included Snappers, Trout, Jacks, Ladyfish, and even Sharks.  All of this in just a few hours of fishing.

After getting the opportunity to fish with Jeremy I can honestly say he's a really great guy.  He loves fishing and learning everything he possibly can about the area he's visiting.  I look forward to fishing with him in the future.  Hopefully, we will get arrangements set for a filming of a River Monsters Eppisode on Big Sharks and Tarpon Fishing in the near future.
