Snook fishing is something that is exciting for all skill levels of fisherman. Here in South Florida we can catch Snook all year long. Their size ranges from 6" all the way to a Massive 40+ Inches. Their initial strike is explosive and is often times followed by a challenging fight.
Kids can get in on the excitement too. This shot is of Chris and a 38" Snook caught on a Rapala X-Rap in Flamingo. That day we caught 10 Snook over 30" and several other smaller fish all on artificial lures. All the fish were released for someone to catch another day. Large fish such as these should always be released because they can produce hundreds of fish during the next years spawn. That makes for much more productive fishing grounds in the future!
This shot is of Christopher and his grandfather Jack with another nice snook. Captain Rich can guide you to these fish in all kinds of different scenarios. Whether you are on the flats being poled around sight fishing for these fish on the wide open flats or in the deepest backcountry pond tossing under the mangroves. You can always expect nonstop action on our boat.
This is a nice slot sized snook caught in Lostman's River on a Rapala Skitter Walk (Top Water Lure) The explosion of a top water snook hit is one you will never forget. A good analogy for how to describe a snook hit would be picture a freshwater Bass after a decade of heavy steroid use
These are my Alabama boys that came down and fished with me for a few days this year. We caught a few nice Big Dog Snook in the Backcountry and some Goliath Groupers to finish the day up.
