Open Slots Booking Up Fast For Tarpon Fishing Season

That’s right Tarpon Season is almost here and our dates are almost booked up.  Every year the Spring months in the Florida Keys are the best time to catch a large Tarpon on light tackle spin or even fly.  Our waters become flooded with the annual migration of Tarpon that come here for their annual spawn in the middle and lower keys.

These fish average 80-120 lbs. and can be found in very large schools.  They are known to for their long drag screaming runs and violent jumps out of the water.  We usually start our Tarpon fishing charters out of the middle keys area of Marathon.  Because the Tarpon is most active during the night time and low light hours of the day our live bait trips start at 7-8 AM and another afternoon trip starting at 4-5 PM.  These trips are most productive when there are 1-4 anglers on board so we can make sure everyone has a good shot at catching a Tarpon on Light Tackle Spinning gear.
