Here’s Han’s fighting a large Tarpon at Bahia Honda Bridge in the Florida Keys. This fish like most was caught using a live blue crab on light tackle spinning gear. The month of May is by far the best time to catch large Tarpon in the Florida Keys.
The Tarpon also known as the Silver King is known for it’s violent jumps out of the water. They eat a wide range of bait but most of them prefer live bait while fishing near the bridges in Marathon. Once you go Tarpon fishing for the first time you’ll be hooked for life.

Baby Tarpon like this are commonly found during the end of summer month all over the Florida Keys. So if your thinking of Tarpon fishing think Spring for the big ones and summer and fall months for smaller ones.
